Let the other board stay that way. When the criticism turns negative, they lock it anyway. Not like they are going to own up to their mistakes. It is only there for praise. I'm not blaming them for it being that way, I wouldn't want my advertising space to be tarnished either. That is why I removed my username from there about a year ago. Still a great site for looking at pics. Selinsgrove has the best photographers around. Let me be the first for thanking you Scott for not having a comment!

Your spot on there ovalluv! Someone once posted on there that that site was for self gratification for the ones involved. Well I guess someone hurt them self patting themself on the back!

I still think it's a shame, I loved hearing some of the old stories and old pics from some of the tracks that are no longer around.

I do hope it comes back, but I also think they do delete or shut it down a little fast sometimes but sometimes I think we posters just put or start something just to tick them off!! I think there's got to be a happy medium somewhere.Maybe a little give and take on both sides? Also I would like to see a resolution to the latemodel rule ordeal the track should stick to the rules, but also how'bout a quick drivers meeting each week to get any questions answered &issues taken care of.itwould'nt be hard to do!And yes they could go west and run in a dusty gravelpit or go south and run on a one lane road most nites..But car for car,& driver for driver even with a smaller field there is hands down no better latemodel racing anywhere To tell you the truth if everybody was honest about it alot of drivers won't race there because of one thing..SPEED SCARES ALOT OF PEOPLE ;D

I wonder where the car counts will be this weekend with the Port not racing? Heard some guys say they were going to Thunder Valley. I think Selinsgrove might get 1 or 2 more than usual.

Although your point is very understandable Scott, there is a certain amount of incompetence that is shown to provoke such negativity on the other site. It is impossible to run a perfect show and please everyone all of the time, but the decision making can almost seem hideous at times. It is my belief that nobody wants to intentionally harm the track or it's reputation. We only comment because we want to make sure that they have another perspective on any situation. It is also nice to have the managements POV as we may not have the same information. Leave the other board as a track self-gratification site and post about all the good stuff. I think that Slash would have a much different forum as his work is most excellent and he spends the time traveling and understanding the late model racing world. His opinions are usually very accurate and not one sided money driven. Without the incompetence, I'm sure his forum would be a much happier place. That is all of course, just my opinion! I too, love this board!

I believe that the other board was only to advertise when they do something like paint the fences or put up a new score board for the fans. They haven't seemed to go out of there way to do much for the racers other than give them a place to race. The late models have more options where they can race on a saturday night where as the 358's not so many. That is why you see a much larger field of cars at other local tracks. They give them new clay to race on every year.

I will be lookin at half a torso.. There is a guestbook deal on my photo site. If somebody doesnt like a shot I would like to know why so I could improve my product. Customer feedback. But I guess if Scott helmed McDonalds, we would all still have McRib sammichs to enjoy.... ;D

I too, love this board! i understand your/peoples point(s) although incompetence might be too strong a word. but yes there are things done that make people say WTH. in fact there is a stuff posted that i personally agree with BUT why can't people understand that while YES the promoter wants to know if he can improve things he doesn't want negativity towards his business published in a public forum where potential competitors and customers might be discouraged from doing business with him. these minor things, that might be one person's opinion can turn people away. i mean a lot of the stuff is very, very minor and gets blown way, way out of proportion. yes, their are issues at times BUT when people have a problem with wal mart they don't stand outside with a sign, they go in to the customer service counter or talk to the manager. if they get cold fries at mcdonalds they don't stand along the highway with a sign that says McD's ICY FRIES SOLD HERE!!, they go in and talk to the manager. SO if people have a problem with something at Selinsgrove Speedway why is it treated differently? why do they go on a public forum to protest? contact the manager. there is and has always been links on the website to contact management by phone, email and mailing address. it is also a well know fact that management is in attendance every friday and saturday night. WHY IS IT THAT PEOPLE WILL HANDLE ISSUES WITH WAL MART OR AN AIRLINE OR A CAR DEALER IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE SPEEDWAY IT HAS TO BE DONE IN SUCH A PUBLIC, HARSH AND HIDDEN BEHIND A SCREEN NAME WAY??? the most amazing thing is that 3 weeks ago there was an apparent issue. i didn't see any teams come to office that night and didn't hear that any called during the week. the following week one team talked to management and another talked to another official about it but at the beginning of the night. that's two out of 20+ teams but many posted on the forum...why? as far as me personally i'm a fan as well. there are things i don't agree with and i walk into the office and talk to the management about it. as far as the way i handle the forum, i i do as i'm instructed. even if i agree with post, if it doesn't meet the guidelines it goes away. if not the site goes away and all the positive stuff and little tid bits of info, live updates and great photos (even slash's) go away. so in reality my so called dictatorship actually helps the fans. i surely don't do it for myself as the pay, $0, surely doesn't warrant the time i spend on it. there's a lot of things i'd rather be doing than babysitting. i just don't know why it's so personal with me.
