I am not sure who is going to be the first to beat him.. but I usually have the results to post on the website and I do not have them yet.. there may have been a protest last night on him.. JUST MY THOUGHT the way Denny Fourney stopped and talked to the official before he went to the pits after getting weighed

I wanted to protest a car last year and was told that rule did not exist. Is it just for certain classes?

I'm thinking some teching needs to be done!!! He's gone from 12th to the lead in less than 5 laps for 3 straight weeks now. Last night 2nd through 8th were pretty much nose to tail for the last half of the race and he finished a half track ahead of everyone else. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see whats wrong with this picture

I was just saying thats what a bunch of us thought Denny thats all. I know he is a good driver but like other people posted in this thread how is he the only one able to go from 12-1 in the matter of 5-6 laps?

I wouldn't say Krape is cheating.... More like taking full advantage of the rules.......... We were told at the end of last year that a STOCK holley 2bbl carb would be mandatory fo this year. Thats what MOST of us are running. Selinsgrove and Port's rules require a Rochester carb, they are allowed to do anything they want to the carb, so most of those guys have some pretty high dollar carbs. This year when the rules came out, there was no change to the section on carbs, so what you have is MOST of us running a basically stock Holley and a few running heavily worked Rochesters that flow like 4 bbls. The rules are the same for everybody, so the rest of us could run those carbs, but, not many people are going to shell out $1500 - $2000 for a carb and then take the chance that next year they would make it illegal. All that being said, you can have all the horsepower in the world, but, if you can't get it hooked up it won't do you any good. Tim seems to have both of those things covered..........

Kevin,
I guess that would be a good way of getting more power by having the worked over rochestor carb.. That always makes the car have more power but it is just amazing how he can do it week in and week out with most people running the same amount of power and running close and he just drive right by them... Maybe he has the RINE CONTROL on his car lol

From the stands it looked like most were struggling with the slick track. The 07 definatly looked like he was on a rail. In the past watching him he's stout when the track gets slick. He has the slick track setup figured out, hearing him work the motor in the turns he really wasnt on it that hard.

He drives it like you drive a late model.

Actually the track wasn't slick at all, it had quite a bit of grip to it in my opinion and thats where Tim shines. Give him a tacky track and thats where all that horsepower comes into play. Last year the track was dry slick all year and thats why he stopped comng, his car wouldn't hook up at all last year. He usually has the car set up extremely tight, if you watch him he lets out of it at the flagstand and turns the car sideways and stands on the gas all the way through the corner. I've tried that and can't seem to make it work. Tim has more laps and experience than any of us and he knows what his car is going to do. The problem I see with this "bounty" they put on him is, it's going to lead to a lot of "aggressive" driving to get that extra money.

haven't made it up to watch at clinton yet but it sounds like krape really has it going on up there. He has been racing for years and you never really know if someone is cheating because most tracks don't give a crap anyway.... as long as racers show up and race tracks won't do anything... Krape has been racing for many many years and obviously knows what he is doing since he does have so much experience. I wish that tracks would look into their rules and stick right with them. the facts are they just don't care if people are illegal. Selinsgrove made the strut cars who finished 1st and 2nd in points last year get rid of the torque bars and things but now they are strut cars with leaf springs... lol I'm not 100% sure but i dont believe that would be considered stock.

Here's something I'd like to know about Krape. Fro years he drove his own 07. Past year or so at Port he drove a yellow 27. So what prompted that change? And the change back? I know Jess Trommeter was involved somehow.

Not sure of any of the details, but from what I understand the 27 was offered to him as a full ride. Heard they had a falling out and parted ways over the winter.... Only hearsay though....
