This was deleted already on SGrove board Track is blazing fast Cannon ran a 16.787 in his 360 that is only half second off the 410 track record . Wish could see what a top 410 would be running right now. Jim Yoder ran a 19.175 which shatters the record.

Find it funny hes running a 360 instead a 358 this week since he got beat in his 358 by a 360 last year! personally, as a fan, i don't like when the regulars switch to a 360. BUT from the business side i surely understand why they do. i think it takes away the "challenge" part of it but since last year when urc gave the 360's the hoosier tire for this race and this race only it definetely tilted the advantage. it's a great race and hopefully in future years it will be what it was inteneded to be...their best against our best. remember the 1st or 2nd year there was a great photo of a "standoff" in victory lane with the two sides?

Whats the difference between a 360 and a 358?? Please don't say 2 cubic inches . I mean, why do the 360's have that much of an advantage? 2 cubic inches can't give you that much. Are they allowed other things that the 358's aren't allowed??

360's use the bigger wing (25sqft)versus 16sqft which obviously provides much more downforce and traction. it also creates more drag which is a negative but i'm told that the downforce plus way overcomes the drag minus. ADVANTAGE 360
the 360 wing is also cockpit adjustable, 358's are not. ADVANTAGE 360
360 minimum weight is 1475, 358 is 1500. ADVANTAGE 360's
360's i'm told use aluminum heads. not sure, if other than the weight this is an advantage or not so i can only say ADVANTAGE-push
i was told that the thing that evens out all these advantages is the tires. 360's normally run american racers while 358's run hoosiers. last year the urc allowed the 360's the hoosier option for one race and one race only...the jack gunn memorial at SG and it did turn the table. that option is available again this year. if what i hear is true with who might be running a 360 this weekend there may not be a 358 in the top 10. that being said, i'm not an engineer nor mechanic nor driver so this could all be garbage but me thinks not.
358's in top 5 top 10 2006 3 4 2007 3 4 2008 4 5 2009 3 3

And guess what... Cannon sets new track record in his new car. Leads 90% of the race and loses YET AGAIN!!!! in the last turn of the last lap. I think its hilarious and WAY TO GO TREVOR! Oh and I think the advantage definately goes to the 360's running the hoosiers now look at the top 10. Blane was the fastest of the 358s. Maybe something should be done to tip the favor to even the cars up a little.

yeah this year the 358's took a butt whooping. i'm sure it will be looked at but last year urc insisted on the getting the hoosier tires to keep the challenge race alive. i'm pretty sure it will be looked at, just not sure anything can be done if we want to keep the challenge race. the other thing i personally am looking at is to raise some money to pay the top 5 358's across the line. i was talking about it earlier in the evening and then find out that anthony carafa (ac motorsports 7a) gave $100 to the first 5 358's. thank's anthony, i talked to him and he was (is) passionate about the 358's. that money will be distributed with next weeks payout. i'd like to get it up around $500 per spot and advertise it in advance to give some incentive to some of our top teams to not pop in a 360 for this race.

It was an awesome race but I got a question. Ok Cannon was a half a track ahead of the 99 Grasso and he is the one who dropeed out so that means he was even farther ahead of the 3rd place car. After the fuel stop only 1 LAPPED CAR??? Seriously no way that its possible only 1 lapped car belonged there.

your reasoning makes NO sense. there could have been 0 lapped cars between them. just depends on who's running where. but in this case there were actually 9 cars between cannon and grasso but there were no more lapped cars between franek who was running 3rd and grasso. but franek dropped out at the same time which put 1 more lapped car (now 10) between cannon and 2nd place lewis. all the cars where told by an official walking to each car, where they were scheduled to restart. 9 of those cars elected to go to the rear.
