not related to any of them but i do respect them for all they have to do. i don't know vern nor how he works but i will bet you he's doing what he thinks is right or at least doing everything he can. sometimes it goes in the crapper but people seem to think promoters are doing it on purpose. they are businessmen and they are running a business. if they are doing something all the time that is hurting business(pissing people off) it isn't going to make things very financially good for them. give them the benefit of the doubt for once. remember they have to try to please fans, race teams and sponsors as well as make it profitable enough to do again next week. just like the juggler at the talent show. every once in a while a ball hits the ground.

Yes..... First race on the card.... I think I heard 500 to win. Which is great, I just hope the "extra" money doesn't stop there. If your going to make it up to all of us the payout needs to be increased all the way back..............

One reason for the late start was 150 pushoffs for engine heat and hot laps before the races. Not like nothing was happening. Most people knew what was going to be at the show ahead of time. Pit and general admission prices for the season are posted on the website. www.clintoncountyraceway.com/schedule.html Pro stocks will most likely get two features next Friday. Will this make you unhappy too? The offer of more money for the missed feature is not something a lot of promoters would do. I think most would say quit your whining and suck it up. I would say by the size of the crowd that this show was a success.I am just happy to see someone trying to keep this track open and provide a local venue to the fine racers of the area. And dirttrackrocker, what is the magic dollar number to make "everyone' happy? I think even the gesture of paying more to the winner goes a long way. I wouldn't want to see greed and lack of appreciation cause another to throw in the towel and leave the track quiet on Fridays. Now maybe we can all get back to racing and see another great show this weekend.
