I have heard so much about the improvements at Port Royal since the new management took over. Granted, there are a lot of physical improvements. That's as far as it goes though. The announcer is so loud it gives you a headache just to sit in the stands. Then to spend about as much time watching track prep after time trials and again before the features, as we spent watching the races is a bit ridiculous. They say they let the track packed in because of impending rain for the week. They had all day to dig it up, water it, and prepare for the evening show. it was a dust bowl in warm ups. It was nothing but normal Port Royal mentality to make the patrons that paid $25 to get in, watch this lack of preparations on their part. I went, I saw, but won't go back. The track should have had some kind of work done on it after Tuesday's show, to take advantage of some of the rain.
