This isn't drama, this is pure comedy. It's better than 60 minutes of Ralphie May's best standup. And, Ralphie May is really good. Livin, you couldn't be more wrong. I'm a race fan, but one who manages to keep everything in perspective. I appreciate the opportunities I have to go to a dirt track, and I do it when I can and almost always enjoy it. However, my life doesn't revolve around what a promoter does, and I don't feel put off when a race track does something I don't agree with. These tools on here act like they'll never be able to see another late model race. Newsflash: they'll run again next week. Along with the sprints, pro stocks and roadrunners. Get over it - and yourselves - already.

because they can take all day and night to dry the track, they can race on monday or tuesday and because it doesn't matter how many people show up because the track already has all their expenses covered by the pre sale of tickets. three things that aren't feasible for local dirt tracks to do. Who said anything about drying a track, or racing on Mondays? We were simply talking about it being cloudy, much like Saturday night. It's cloudy at my house right now, guess what, it's not raining. uh i think dirty harry did. you need to read ALL the posts if you want to keep up.

racing reject, websters defines coward as one who shows disgraceful fear or timidity.
now lets see....who's hiding behind a screen name, afraid to let everyone know who he is? not me but then i'm not afraid of what people might think. of course since i'm not posting falsehoods i have nothing to worry about. others??? yourself???
yes i enjoyed port. actually changed from lincoln to port because of the midgets. but when i went into the pits, other than mikey walter the only drivers i talked to were late model drivers. nice to see a bunch of lm's. i actually do like lm racing. just don't care for some of their fans.
don't worry ltd, haven't forgotten your question. just don't have the documents in front of me. but i will shortly.

Ok Scotty, Lets talk about fair shakes. How many "PREMIER" extra distance extra pay events do the sprint cars (for weekly 358's) get at SG? Now how many (of the same statis)do the Late Models get? Now, how many shows are scheduled for other open wheeled divisions that are not SG regulars vs. other shows for LM"s that are not regulars at SG? first off there are several non regular open wheel divisions that race at SG including 410's and 360's. how many other top notch stock car divisions other than the super lates are there out there. people obviously will come to see the 410's in a stand alone show and URC brings a lot of their own fans to the 360 shows. how many extra fans will show up to watch 358 or crate lm's. no knock on them as a division but they aren't gonna draw fans in a stand alone event. as to your question about "premier" events i guess it depends on your definition of "premier" but as far as extra distance, increased purse events for our weekly 358's versus the weekly LM's, the 358's have 3 on the schedule (Jack Gunn Memorial, Firecracker 30 and the Open) and one of those is co-sanctioned by URC but i'll give you the 3. The LM's have, now hold on to your hat, 3, yes three, yes, trois, yes, tres (sorry that's the only languages i know) on the schedule (Spring & Summer Championships and the Open) . all have increased purses proportionate to their regular purse with the exception of the opens where the purse for both divisions is much higher than the other two "premier" events. not sure what the LM open pays but i'm thinking it was $5000 to win last year with a pretty nice purse back through the field. the 358 open was slated to pay $6000 to win last year until an unsolicited sponsor knocked on the door and threw a pretty hefty chunk of change at the purse. i think i know of a racing industry business that could get some great advertising if they did that for the LM's!!!! all seems pretty even to me. at least where i went to school 3=3 and since your original question was about the actual numbers....well, jusy sayin!! so those are the facts, undeniable facts. can't wait to see everyone twist and turn them into something they ain't or more likely change the subject to some other non-existent issue. oh, and racing reject we're still waiting for you to come out from behind your screen name. of course you most likely won't and even if you did i'm sure it wouldn't be what's on your birth certificate. maybe i'll sign up with your name as my screen name and just start posting away......

hasn't been sprint1 for 2 years. haven't you been paying attention?
premier event was a term used by ltd to describe increased purse, extra distance races. last weeks scheduled race falls into that category so the term fits the subject, not as i call it. again, haven't you been paying attention. that's twice now!!
i do not know if it's going to be rescheduled or not. when i'm told it will be i will post it. if i'm not told it will be then i won't post it. but i don't think you can compare that race to this week as a touring series is involved this week. some people think URC stands for Usual Rain Coming when they see it on the schedule. but yes, i'd venture to say it will be attempted to be rescheduled if need be just as it has in years past. third time now, what do we have to do to get you to pay attention.
if you want a better comparison to last weeks race i'd say look at the Firecracker 30. that's a race that i'd bet wouldn't be made up if it gets cancelled. so lets pray for rain that day so that the score will be 2-2 for the year. of course they'll probably reschedule this one just to piss racing reject, and only him off. yeah you made it personal. personally i hope the LM race is rescheduled or combined in a bigger payout for the summer championship.
actually for some of you i think the reason is because you breathe
think i'm gonna borrow a phrase from alan krimes. i'll let racing reject figure out what that is....oh that's right he probably doesn't know who that is.

I think it's pretty funny cause you are getting so predictable! Which is good in this case in which we will see down the road here in this little debate if you choose to participate. Now back to the subject at hand.
When I first mentioned "Premier" events I was thinking along the lines of an event that has a meaning, a memorial or an event with a name attached to it. Hmmm, lets see 358's 3- 5/14 Jack Gunn Mem., 6/18 Joe Witcombe Mem., 7/2 Firecracker 30. Late Models- 0! But , OK we can forego the "Premier" moniker. For extra distance/money events 358 sprints 4 (with the addition of the open), Late Models 3 the LM Spring Championship 5/7(which might not happen), the LM Summer Championship 7/23, and the LM Open in August. Now, if you include all Sprint car events to Late Model events (because you know we all believe in a "fair shake) look at the picture here- sprint cars 10 Late Models 3. I guess that will take care of the scheduling end of this debate. I do want to reserve the right to return to this area if need be!

ok i missed the JWM so it's 4 to 3. is it that outrageous, is it really that far out of wack that it's such a BIG deal? a difference of 1 wow.
BUT YOU SPECIFICALLY SAID
and now since you didn't like the FACTS and THE FACTS couldn't support your argument you change the question.
wow, racing reject your attention span has gotta be the shortest ever.
i said it hadn't been sprint1 for two years, not that it took 2 years to change it. how long have you been racing reject? it's not how long it's been, it's what are you doing about it now.
btw what track will you be at tonight?

Wow Scotty, I would not critisize racing reject too much as you are not paying attention very well your self! Yes, indeed we spoke of the "weekly 358's vs LM, but if you read further down the topic does say all sprint car events vs all LM events. Stick with it there Scotty!
