anybody know what the story is here??? after going to the pits after the races and hearing from a couple different teams i'm gonna blame hoosier. when you replace a tire you know one of your contracted tracks is running you should give them a heads up so crap like tonight doesn't happen. i mean a driver goes to a hoosier dealer to buy a tire and is told it isn't available but here's the replacement for it what are they gonna do. i'm sure if the track was given a heads up they'd have made a rule change in advance instead of after the fact.

From what I have gathered over in the pits is this. Apparently hoosier came out with a new tire a few weeks ago and Bachman and Hoffman have them. So during the drivers meeting Bachman ASKED Charlie if they were legal Charlie said yes. Then after the race Miller went right in and protested. The Tech guy checked the tires and deemed them illegal then because Charlie already said they were legal he reversed the tech mans decision. Then after all the hooplah in the press release it was said the race was $100 to start and he gave them all only $50 for starting the race. SO that being said I'd say we wont have more than 10 Pro Stocks anymore as drivers were pissed.

They asked several times if the tire was legal and was told by Charlie IT WAS!! Hoosier no longer makes the old style tire. Therefore, from now on, every tire purchased will be exactly like the ones Hoffman and Bachman had on there cars.

Tire mix up or not 100 dollars to start is 100 dollars to start. Not well I'm a so tight my ass squeaks when I walk and I'm a lier again bull shit. Hate to say it but maybe we should go support some tracks that are actuly struggleing and still putting on good shows. Drivers and fans both.

Wherever you heard Kyle asked if they were legal at the drivers meeting there wrong I was there no questions were asked at the meeting...the complaint we had was that the part #'s on the new tires are different from our rules...95% of the division had no clue Hoosier was making a new tire and either did Charlie until tonight when we brought it to his attention after the race ...it's sad to say that the can declare people illegal until the right person complains and the hole things gets overturned and the win is takin...if they want to change tire rules notify the hole division not after the biggest race of the season say there legal when ya had no clue about them until tonight

The tech said it was up to Charlie.. So Bachman went directly into charlies office and asked him several times if it was ok. And Charlie said YES!!!!! I know..I was there.

The only way this track and Chuck are going to learn a lesson is for them to continue losing cars. Season after season there are rules made and season after season the same cars/teams break them with nothing being done. How many times does a tech man (no matter which one) need to tell them to change things or declare them illegal before Charlie is going to do something? The only way anything will be done is when his pudgy fingers aren't rubbing the green! All you drivers and fans need to wise up and LEAVE!

The thing is,, is that this is not an illegal act on this tire situation.. Hoosier changed the markings on the tire. Every tire bought from now on will be this way... How can it be illegal when THE TRACK HAS THEM FOR SALE?? And does not have any of the old ones. Because there are not any left.

I understand the track has them forsale...but the track has them forsale as of this week like...as for just changing the marks your wrong a nrm tire is made with a softer sidewall which produces more side bite if Hoosier is discontinuing the old tire then they should have said something to Charlie or even the parts guys at the track but they did not and not a person was notified we are not aloud to run these tires the numbers are different then the rules look on Hoosiers website all the information is on there on the new tire. This was brought to Charlie's attention tonight after the the checkered flag dropped I understand he knew that there was a different tire but he did not know about them having a different number or how much the benefit nor did he care that's why they awarded me with the win and when Todd long went in to bitch they gave him his own way like normal. And as for not being able to buy the old tires I can take you to a&a where I bought a normal tire (not the new ones) and I can also take you to Jim bernheisals and you could probably still find the heat mark size that you want so don't tell me you can't buy them. See yas at port royal
