anyone familiar with the constuction of the 3rd gen camaro knows that the body is a monocoque uni-body construction meaning it does not have a full bolt on clip like the 2nd gen cars the front clip on the 3rd gen cars is the crossmember , spring buckets and lower a-arm mounts this is a one piece unit attched to the body with 8 bolts. so 2x4 square tubing is used in front of the crossmember in place of the stock sheet metal for easier steering gear mounting and 2x3 is used from the rear of the crossmember to the rear of the car. so there is a "stock clip " it is just not as big as the ones from the second gen camaro. ;D

it is to late to complain about the 28's strut car, verne left him keep his win, but the thing that the drivers should be upset about in the fact other drivers had to change their cars in the past and he doesn't have to change his, maybe because where he is employed, not sure. for an example a strut car with leaf springs?, the amount of weight that is off the front of his car and the amount that is still on the other cars? huge balence advantage, if he would ever learn to drive he would run away from every one on a regular basis. one solution to the problem, there are 15 races left, 17 or so prostocks, everyone take a turn at knocking one of his front wheels off every week would get you guys into the winter months to do your home work and run in the modified prostock class that the 28 has created

Here is my take... I'm not going to bitch and complain because #1, it wouldn't do any good, and #2, I can't seem to get my car to even keep up with the legal cars this year so I have no business complaining about an illegal one..........
If you have ever looked at a late model front suspension it is basically a strut car, so by putting a "stock" crossmember in it in place of the original Late Model crossmember you still basically have a Late Model front end. Might as well save us all money and let us run full late model chassis with leaf spring rears.

Exact same cars are at selinsgrove too. I think they should get rid of the pro stocks and make one of two classes. 1. All cars must be a monte carlo with only coil springs. Or 2. All cars must be a certain year range of camero where leafs are the rear springs. Solve a lot of problems. then actually go by the stupid rule book they say they go by now. This goes for both cc and selinsgrove. It's a joke.

What they need to do (Selinsgrove, Port, and Clinton) is can that division because it is well beyond the intent of the original class. They (the tracks) need to have a 358 or crate class and STICK TO THE RULES!

BRP Late Models, Stock clip 12 inches in front and behind ball joint, 3 link rear, 10 inch tires and rims, they have the same motor rules we already have.

That would be an awesome idea having a crate class.......
But....Back to square one?
1. Who is gonna tech to keep things honest? 2. are the printed rules going to be enforced? The "honor system" that has been in place has raised some questions this year. A crate or "spec" class is only as good as the enforcement of it.

would be easier to tech dirt rev box(i forget what the msd number is) and 6200 chip 650 carb. internal clutch trans (ber, brinn, falcon) so no cluth or flywheel to check(or cheat with). would make it alot easier on the tech man if he thought someone tampered with the box stick a 3000rpm chip in it and see if it revs past it. anyway easier to tech and i understand your point rules dont mean anything if no one is lookin
